Have you ever seen High School Musical? High School Musical is a relatable movie for anyone in high school.
High School Musical came out on January 20, 2006. The movie begins when Troy Bolton (Zac Efron), the star athlete at a small-town high school, falls for nerdy beauty Gabriella Montez (Vannessa Hudgens) at a holiday karaoke party. When they return to campus, Troy and Gabriella audition for the upcoming school musical. Meanwhile, the jealous Sharpay Evans (Ashley Tisdale) conspires to squelch their chances. The two must need help to make it to auditions while meeting their obligations to the basketball team and academic decathlon. The movie is aimed at the pre-teen audience. The acting in the film is phenomenal, with the actors showing real emotions and connecting to the audience. Connecting to the audience is the key to a movie doing well.
The songs are so amazing. The songs are catchy; you just want to start singing whenever you hear the music. My two favorite songs that I can’t seem to get out of my head recently are “Get’cha Head in the Game” and “Start of Something New.”
The best scenes in the movie are all the basketball scenes. Those scenes were so amazing. Those basketball scenes made me want to start watching and playing basketball. The best scene is when we see Troy shooting and Gabriella sees him. This whole interaction is a way to show teenagers being themselves and being honest and open. In the scene, Gabriella admitted that she had played basketball. This scene is great because we have more interaction with Troy and Gabriella than just the music side of them.
High School Musical is iconic because it shows teenagers coming out of their shells and trying something new, discovering who they are and what they want to do.
My only negative is Zac Efron. Did you know that Zac Efron did not sing any of the songs in the High School Musical? Yes, it is true, according to a Planet Radio interview, Zac Efron said that he didn’t get to sing in the first movie.
Since High School Musical was so popular, they wanted to make a spinoff. On November 8, 2019, High School Musical: The Musical: The Series was released. High School Musical: The Musical: The Series is a spinoff of the original movie. This is a series and not a movie. The series is to show teens finding their voice and standing up for themselves while putting on the play High School Musical. In the series, you get lots of romance, drama, and people finding themselves.
The best scene from High School Musical, The Musical Series, is when Rickey walks into Nini’s dressing room after the play and says, “And that night in your room, when you told me that you loved me, I meant to say it. I meant to say it, and I’ve kicked myself every day since then because I didn’t say it. But I do. I love you” This was the scene that everyone was waiting for when you watched the show’s first season. I have been waiting to have this scene since I first saw Ricky and Nini.
High School Musical is my favorite movie of all time. I just love the soundtrack and the acting in the film.
