The story behind d&d club

Most days Mr. Bryant’s room is quiet, but on A day during lunch, you can hear shouts, cheers, and the click clack of dice. This is Dungeons and Dragons Club where teachers all the way down to USP gather to have fun. Not many people understand why people love D&D so much, after all it is just a game.  D&D Club and the game are not just a game, but  worlds of infinite possibilities.

I remember the first time I played D&D. My parents dropped me off at a game store and I joined a table and wanted to play. The game was the module (a premade story by Wizards of the Coast, the makers of D&D) Waterdeep. Waterdeep is a city on the Swords Coast, the western side of  the D&D world. The campaigns revolve around stopping five crime bosses: one is a dark elf trying to overload the economy with a hidden cash of gold, and another boss is Xanathar, an insane beholder (a floating cyclop head with ten tentacles with eyes on the end that shoot of magical effects). But the core of the game was the players around me that made it great. Chris played as a fearful lucky halfling (like a hobbit) scared of his own shadow due to his father’s run in with Xanathar. Another played Goodbody, a half orc that is sometimes possessed by a maniac barbarian ghost, but tried to make the world better for his adopted parents. His parents famously told him not to be a somebody, or a nobody, be a goodbody. This experience led me to start the Dungeons and Dragons Club which has been going for three years so far at Jemicy.

Mr. Turner’s favorite die

The reason we like D&D so much is because it sparks creativity. Each person is a tool that can do certain things. You must use them together to succeed in your quest. D&D is by definition an engineering problem. This is the game of Dungeons and Dragons, the world’s greatest roleplaying game.

There are four regular players in my campaign: Kilburn Russo, Hayden Jones, Natalie Labrique, and Mr. Chris Turner. D&D requires players to create and play as a character of their choice. Let’s take a look at two such characters.
