The end of the year is almost here for Jemicy seniors. Seniors are wrapping up the 2020-21 year by finishing up their last dose of school work and preparing for final exams. Jemicy School has many special events planned for them as well.
From Hershey Park to graduation, the senior class is very excited for the upcoming weeks of events. This year Jemicy is also making its prom free at The Irvine Nature Center. Many seniors are excited to attend with their prom dates and friends.
Seniors Abbey McQuillan and Darby Goodwin are very pleased with the upcoming events that Jemicy has put together for the senior class.
According to Goodwin, “We have been through a lot this year. I’m happy to have prom this year. I’m very glad that it’s free.”
The seniors also get to go to Hershey Park. “I’m happy to be going to Hershey Park. I’m not a huge roller coaster person, but it will be fun to walk around the park with my friends,” said McQuillan.
Also, the seniors are very excited to just graduate and get to summer. I’m especially excited to be graduating finally and so is Eric Munson ‘21.
“All the stress of high school will finally go away and I will be free at last,” said Munson.
However, Munson isn’t happy to be taking exams this year.
“I think it’s very unfair of the school to say that you don’t have to take exams if you have a 90 percent average or higher. There are only a few kids in our grade that are that smart!”
Finally, we have senior awards in person again. Seniors are excited to receive awards for their accomplishments at Jemicy. Seniors are also curious about what their teachers have to say about them in the senior toast video. I know I’m very excited to see which teacher picked me to talk about in the senior toast video. I am especially nervous to see what they have to say about me in case it’s a roast.
I’m sure the Class of 2021 will be deeply missed by the Jemicy community. It’s been a weird and rough year with Covid taking over our lives but we made it to graduation.
