Answer: Minneapolis, Minnesota.
How long have you been teaching? Where have you worked previously before starting at Jemicy?
Answer: I’ve been teaching off and on since 1996. I worked in administration in Jemicy’s Development Office for two years and before that, I worked at Loyola University in their student development division.
What subject(s) do you teach and which grade(s)?
Answer: I teach grade 10 English; Written Expression Skills (9th, 10th, 11th).
Where did you go to school and what did you major in?
Answer: Undergraduate: Gustavus Adolphus College; majored in English.
Graduate: University of St. Thomas; majored in Education.
What kind of kid were you in school? Besides what kind of student you were, any extracurricular or sports activities?
Answer: I was talkative and social in school and would often get reminded to keep a lid on my mouth by my teachers. I was a perfectionist at my school work. Music and jazz band were my passion outside of the classroom. I played saxophone all the way through high school and college.
What brought you to Jemicy?
Answer: Love brought me to Maryland; another teacher got me interested in Jemicy.
Is this how you imagined your first year at Jemicy would be?
Answer: Hmmm. Not exactly. COVID, not having my own physical classroom, the up and down schedule, no gatherings and clubs, and missing some of the “fun” parts of teaching all have made it very challenging.
What is your favorite food?
Answer: Pizza.
Do you have a pet? If so, what type and what is its name?
Answer: Yes, two dogs and a cat. Luke (6yo) is a mixed breed rescue who looks like Scooby Doo. Jett (1.5yo) is a black, scruffy labradoodle. Charlie the cat is 17.
Where is your favorite travel destination and why? (In U.S or out of U.S)
Answer: So far St. John in the U.S. Virgin Islands is my favorite place.

Answer: Maryland.
- How long have you been teaching? Where have you worked previously before starting at Jemicy?
Answer: 28 years, Howard County, Baltimore County.
- What subject(s) do you teach and which grade(s)?
Answer: Ancient World History, Health.
- Where did you go to school and what did you major in?
Answer: UMBC, major; U.S. History, minor; Asian History .
- What kind of kid were you in school? Besides what kind of student you were, any extracurricular or sports activities?
Answer: Unfocused, barely passed most classes, choir and theater kid, play lacrosse (badly).
- What brought you to Jemicy?
Answer: Eric Cole (Dean of Students at LMS).
- Is this how you imagined your first year at Jemicy would be?
Answer: Other than the COVID craziness, yes.
- What is your favorite food?
Answer: Crab cakes or ribs (ideally, both).
- Do you have a pet? If so, what type and what is its name?
Answer: Two cats, Scout from To Kill a Mockingbird and Weasley from Harry Potter.
- Where is your favorite travel destination and why?
Answer: Southwestern Germany. The beauty and proximity to France, Switzerland, and Austria

Mr. Bradley Davis – English Department
- Where are you from?
Answer: Baltimore, Maryland.
- How long have you been teaching? Where have you worked previously before starting at Jemicy?
Answer: I’ve been teaching for about 2 years. I previously worked at The Pathways Schools.
- What subject(s) do you teach and which grade(s)?
Answer: English 10 and Skills-Written Expression (USP-11th grade).
- Where did you go to school and what did you major in?
Answer: Salisbury University. I majored in Communication, Journalism, and Public Relations.
- What kind of kid were you in school? Besides what kind of student you were, any extracurricular or sports activities?
Answer: I was a more reserved kid, but I played baseball and basketball throughout high school.
- What brought you to working at Jemicy?
Answer: My desire to continue working with children and share my knowledge.
- Is this how you imagined your first year at Jemicy would be?
Answer: It has been a little crazy with the changing schedules and the pandemic, but it has been extremely rewarding and I have learned a lot.
- What is your favorite food?
Answer: Sushi.
- Do you have a pet? If so, what type and what is its name?
Answer: I have a dog and her name is Airlie (pronounced Are-Lee).
- Where is your favorite travel destination and why?
Answer: I did a month-long trip to Europe two summers ago, so I’d love to go back there.
