- How do you like Jemicy so far? What do you like best?
It’s good. I miss my old school (BT) and my friends a lot but it’s good.
- What is your dream job? Why?
I want to be a sportscaster. I love football more than anything in the world and I’d love to analyze it in the future.
- Jemicy canceled sports thus far like many schools across the country. What are your thoughts on the school not playing in the fall and winter?
This one is complicated because obviously safety is the most important thing and that always comes first so I understand why they canceled them. BUT sports more than anything else have this weird and amazing power to heal and be therapeutic to people when they are struggling and I think it would definitely do the same if they are able to do it. But of course you need to be safe.
- What is your favorite sport to play and why?
I’m not a good athlete at all but I do enjoy playing football just because that’s my passion so I do like playing it with friends.
- What is your favorite sport to watch and why?
That’s my real passion. Watching and analyzing sports. Watching football is my favorite thing to do in the world and, as I said before, sports have a certain power. It can be very therapeutic. If I need to calm down, watching football always does that for me.
- If Jemicy has sports in the spring, would you broadcast games? Would you play any sports here?
Definitely broadcast. Trust me, you don’t want me playing sports here if you have any interest in winning.
- Who is your sports idol and why?
My favorite player ever is Ray Lewis just because he’s a legend and was just so amazing to watch even if I didn’t care about football when he played. I’ve went back and watched film on him and he was just special.
- How did you start getting into broadcasting? What do you like best about sports broadcasting?
I don’t know what exactly it was that made me really get into it but for years I’ve had people telling me about how much I know about football and how impressive my knowledge is for someone at 10-11 years old. Once I was 12 I made up my mind that’s what I wanted to do and I’m very happy I did– it’s amazing and I love sharing my knowledge for this great game.
- Is there a favorite interview or broadcast you’ve done so far?
The biggest interview I did was with Bob Costas, which was amazing to do, but probably my best and definitely my favorite interview was Ian Eagle.
- Where do you want to go to college? Is broadcasting a career goal and something you want to study?
Absolutely. I don’t have a backup plan; this is what I am going to pursue and I am going to give it absolutely everything I got to try and make it happen. I would like to study it for college but let’s just say my grades aren’t the greatest in the world, so hypothetically if I don’t get into a good broadcasting college there are plenty of other ways to pursue my dream.
